SEAPPI and Rangsit University Faculty of Law Announce MoU for Research Collaboration in Thailand

The Southeast Asia Public Policy Institute (SEAPPI) and the Faculty of Law, Rangsit University have announced an agreement to collaborate on policy research and dialogue in Thailand and across the Southeast Asia region. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), signed by Dean of the Faculty of Law at Rangsit University Professor Vicha Mahakun and SEAPPI Executive Director Ed Ratcliffe, outlines ambitions for cooperation between the two organizations, including:
- Collaboration in research and development of laws and policies with regard to global best practices, particularly regarding consumer affairs
- Promoting discussion, dialogue, and learning through events, visits, and other forms of communication and dissemination of knowledge and insights
- A focus on Thailand with a broader remit to explore policy developments across the Southeast Asia region
The partners have already kicked off collaboration on a research project in the area of consumer and product law, which will be launched during the first quarter of 2025, as well as another project in the area of sustainability and consumer behavior.
Ed Ratcliffe, Executive Director of SEAPPI, said:
